To start the mediation process a completed intake form must be submitted. A court order for mediation is not the same as a completed intake form. Once we receive your completed form with proof of income documentation (if applicable), we can then confirm a mediation date/time for you.
If you have any questions before submitting the intake, you may email us at email@example.com or call us at (281) 342-5000
Whether court ordered, attorney referred or client referred, the intake and scheduling process at the DRC is the same.
A court order is not required to use the Fort Bend County DRC services. The DRC can be used for party or attorney initiated family and civil mediations, generally at a lower cost than a private mediator.

A party, or attorney on behalf of a party, must complete the mediation intake form, including contact information for all parties, and their attorney (if applicable), and provide the identified financial information in the intake instruction sheet. The quickest way to get your mediation assigned and scheduled is to download one of the intake forms above and return it to the DRC along with the identified financial information, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, fax it to us at (281) 232-6443, or you can mail it to us at 211 Houston Street, Richmond, TX 77469.
Please note that our mediations are generally scheduled for half-day time periods Monday through Friday in the morning or the afternoon. Morning mediations are conducted from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., and afternoon mediations are scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may request a particular date and time certain for your mediation to be conducted; however, that date and time will not be confirmed until the DRC has received the intake form and the identified financial information for each of the parties.
