Josalyn is the newest member of the DRC staff having begun in April of 2022.  Josalyn serves as the Volunteer Services Coordinator II for the DRC.

The DRC Office Hours are:


Monday - Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.


The DRC offices follow the announcement of the local area school districts regarding inclement weather.


If local area school districts are closed due to inclement weather the DRC offices will also close and any mediations for that day are automatically canceled.

Amy E. Urbanek
Amy serves as the Case Manager & Volunteer Services Coordinator I for the DRC. She is also a credentialed mediator.  Amy provides a wealth of experience and expertise, as she is a senior paralegal who has worked for law firms in Fort Bend and surrounding counties since 1999.  Amy graduated from Troy State University in Dothan, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, with accompanying studies in Psychology and Sociology. 

Shelly Hudson, J.D.
Shelly has served as the Executive Director of the DRC since 1996.  She is an experienced attorney who has practiced law in Fort Bend and surrounding counties for many years.  Shelly is also a private practice mediator and is extensively trained in basic mediation and advanced Family Mediation skills, and has hundreds of hours of mediation experience.  Shelly graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in History and is a graduate of the South Texas College of Law.
